Guided Rocky Mountain Elk Hunts in South Dakota’s Black Hills

Elk otherwise known as “Wapiti” opportunities are available on our private ranch located in Western South Dakota from late August for velvet antlers until early December. The Rocky Mountain Elk species stands as one of the largest deer species weighing up to 700 pounds with their antlers being one of the fastest growing organisms on Earth.

Adventure is Calling

With trophy opportunities ranging from delicious cow elk meat to the impressive antlers of a mature Rocky Mountain bull, we offer a variety of guided elk hunts tailored for your ideal South Dakota trophy experience. Our private ranch is located in rugged, sparsely wooded terrain near the Black Hills, featuring hills and steep canyons with exceptional glassing points. These conditions are ideal for spot-and-stalk hunting with either rifle or bow.

Our hunting terrain is UTV-accessible for efficient recovery and ensures your elk can be quickly processed back at the lodge—preserving meat quality. Whether you're looking for meat, antlers, or both, you'll find the perfect pursuit with us.

There are limited spots available each year due to our management practices, but no tags or draw applications are required—hunts are arranged directly with us. This means you’ll never miss out on the hunt of a lifetime due to licensing restrictions.

What to Expect.

Our South Dakota elk hunts are typically structured as 3-day, all-inclusive guided adventures, complete with two nights of lodging, meals, and trophy care. Group durations and schedules are flexible based on group size, and our hunts are designed to be fun, immersive, and successful.

We offer:

Rifle rentals

Butchering services

Trophy prep and taxidermy

Meat and trophy shipping at reasonable rates

And for bonus value — all coyotes encountered during your elk hunt are fair game at no additional cost, provided you have a valid South Dakota Predator/Varmint license.
